The people of Eikos have associations with several international territories and so have capacity to work with clients from around the globe. Each team member has a unique skillset; the combination of such broad-ranging experience culminates in an agile and creative approach that is typical of the Eikos solution.
Anthony Valsamakis
Founder and Director, London
Tony is an internationally recognised risk management professional with a career spanning 40 years. He is the founder and CEO of Eikos Risk Capital Limited, a London-based risk and insurance consultancy. He is the President of Norfolk Re, a Bermudan-based specialist Insurer. Tony also serves as a non-executive consultant on various company Boards, giving input on enterprise risk and its treatment.
His career has seen him lead various consultancy companies operating in the discipline of risk and its management. He has pioneered industry concepts and financial product design which in 1996 led to his relocation to the UK where he first set up Integrated Risk Consultants Limited, offering risk financing solutions to an international client market.
Tony holds a Doctorate degree in Business Economics – as an academic he has published in the UK and South Africa. His text “An Integrated Approach to Risk Management” is in its 5th edition.

Kwok Man
Director, London
Kwok is a Director of Eikos Risk Capital. He works closely with clients to create innovative solutions designed to help them address their challenging and often complex risk concerns.
Kwok has 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry specialising in the management of UK and global programmes (Property and Casualty) across a diverse range of sectors. He is client-focused and enjoys building strong relationships to drive service level excellence and achieve client objectives. His professional experience has been gained from spending time at the major broking firms of Aon, HSBC and Willis Towers Watson.
Kwok holds a degree in Business Studies and is ACII-qualified.

Cullen Leresche
Director, London
Cullen is a Director of Eikos Risk Capital with primary responsibility for service delivery of Eikos’ approach and offering to clients. Cullen joined Eikos in September 2018 following the start of his insurance career at Willis Towers Watson in 2011.
Cullen learned his trade through a client service and broking role in the wholesale property Global Markets International division. Much of Cullen’s prior work involved risk transfer programmes for parent-owned captives and he draws on this insight to create innovate solutions to clients’ risk problems of today.
Cullen holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Financial Economics from the University of London, as well as certification from the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Antoinette Valsamakis
Director, London
Antoinette is a political economist and established political risk and insurance consultant with 30 years’ international experience focused on emerging markets, especially in Africa. Operationally she is the company’s financial controller and is responsible for HR, governance and compliance.
Antoinette has an MSc in International Economics from the London School of Economics and a PhD in International Political Economy from the University of Birmingham.
She is also a Cambridge University qualified coach focusing on executive, leadership and team coaching. Special interests: helping individuals identify their strengths and build professional and personal confidence; working with teams, small and large, to enhance creativity and efficiency; harnessing conflict and diversity more effectively.

Roan Stoop
Quantitative Analyst, Johannesburg
Roan joined Eikos in 2006 as a quantitative analyst providing analytics support to Eikos’s risk financing and risk management offerings. The simulation models Roan produces provide the projections that assist in finding the best insurance solutions for Eikos’s clients.
Roan started his career as actuarial analyst in the risk management department of South Africa’s largest and most innovative medical health scheme. Thereafter, he worked as actuarial programmer developing and maintaining actuarial software for a retirement benefits consultancy before joining Eikos.
Roan graduated with a degree in actuarial science from the University of Johannesburg and completed postgraduate courses in computer science to complement his passion for problem solving.

Stefanie De Beer
Account Executive, London
Stefanie is an Account Executive at Eikos Risk Capital; her primary role is to ensure excellence in deliverables to clients and stakeholders.
Stefanie joined the team at the end of 2022 and her insurance career spans over 16 years. She holds various industry-related qualifications from the University of South Africa, and her most recent studies—focusing on Risk Management and Alternative Risk Solutions—afforded Stefanie a Fellowship designation from the Insurance Institute of South Africa.

Manu Stephen
Insurance Technician, London
Manu became part of the Eikos family in 2023 as an Insurance Technician. In this role, he provides key support to the senior management team in managing the daily operations.
Manu earned his MBA from the University of Kerala, India, and has close to a decade of experience in the insurance industry, with expertise in data management, policy administration, and analytics.

Cristiana Cavalieri
Account Executive, London
Cristiana is an Account Executive at Eikos, involved in the structuring and management of Property Damage and Business Interruption (PDBI), Political Violence and Terrorism (PVT), and other risk programmes, encompassing both traditional placements and captive or alternative risk transfer structures. Her work integrates client relationship management, programme administration, risk financing analysis and project coordination. .
Her insurance journey first began in 2021 where she joined the Graduate Programme at iTOO Special Risks, a Specialty P&C Insurance underwriter in South Africa, where she quickly developed a passion for insurance. This led her to pursue a Master’s Degree
in Insurance and Risk Management (MIRM) from MIB Trieste School of Management in Trieste, Italy. After graduating, Cristiana worked at Allianz SE in the Digital Product Development team, before moving to London.
In addition to her Master’s Degree, Cristiana holds a BBA in Marketing Management.

Frederick Brutton
Actuarial Quantitative Analyst, London
Fred joined the Eikos team in August 2025 as an Actuarial Quantitative Analyst. His role often involves cleaning and interpreting large datasets, identifying trends in frequency and severity, and presenting results in clear, practical terms.
His insurance journey began in 2024, when he completed a Master’s Degree in Actuarial Science at the University of Manchester, where he had also earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Physics.
In his free time, Fred is currently sitting the IFoA actuarial exams and applies the material directly to his work, combining actuarial techniques with programming and data analysis.
