The people of Eikos are based in three international offices and so have capacity to work with clients from around the globe. Each team member has a unique skillset; the combination of such broad-ranging experience culminates in an agile and creative approach that is typical of the Eikos solution.

Anthony Valsamakis

Founder and Director, London

Tony is an internationally recognised risk management professional with a career spanning 40 years. He is the founder and CEO of Eikos Risk Capital Limited, a London-based risk and insurance consultancy. He is the President of Norfolk Re, a Bermudan-based specialist Insurer. Tony also serves as a non-executive consultant on various company Boards, giving input on enterprise risk and its treatment.

His career has seen him lead various consultancy companies operating in the discipline of risk and its management. He has pioneered industry concepts and financial product design which in 1996 led to his relocation to the UK where he first set up Integrated Risk Consultants Limited, offering risk financing solutions to an international client market.

Tony holds a Doctorate degree in Business Economics – as an academic he has published in the UK and South Africa. His text “An Integrated Approach to Risk Management” is in its 5th edition.

Kwok Man

Director, London

Kwok is a Director of Eikos Risk Capital, whose current role is to ensure service level excellence in order that clients’ expectations are met.

His professional experience has been gained from spending time at the major broking firms of Aon, HSBC and Willis Towers Watson. He is client-focused with almost 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry specialising in the management of UK and global programmes (Property and Casualty) across various sectors. His experience feeds into his work today, which involves a focus on providing novel solutions to help his current clients address their risk concerns.

Kwok holds a degree in Business Studies and is ACII-qualified.

Cullen Leresche

Director, London

Cullen is a Director of Eikos Risk Capital with primary responsibility for service delivery of Eikos’ approach and offering to clients. Cullen joined Eikos in September 2018 following the start of his insurance career at Willis Towers Watson in 2011.

Cullen learned his trade through a client service and broking role in the wholesale property Global Markets International division. Much of Cullen’s prior work involved risk transfer programmes for parent-owned captives and he draws on this insight to create innovate solutions to clients’ risk problems of today.

Cullen holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Financial Economics from the University of London, as well as certification from the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Antoinette Valsamakis

Head of Political Risk Practice, Company Secretary, London

Antoinette is head of the Political Risk Practice at Eikos and is also a director of the company. She is an established political risk and insurance consultant with 30 years’ international experience focused on emerging markets, especially in Africa.

Antoinette works with insurance, financial and corporate clients in managing & mitigating political risk and accessing (re) insurance capacity for both political risk and political violence events as well as identifying strategic opportunities and emerging risks. In addition, she mentors and coaches women in their professional and career development, as well as entrepreneurs in emerging markets.

Antoinette has an MSc in International Economics from the London School of Economics and a PhD in International Political Economy from the University of Birmingham.

Keri Cordani

Head of Paris Office, Paris

Keri Cordani leads the Paris office and is responsible for the expansion and the servicing of a portfolio of European clients in the retailing industry. She is an Insurance and Risk Consultant to Risk Managers, CEOs, CFOs, Legal and Insurance Directors — to name a few.

Expert in her field, Keri has always been keen to grow personally and professionally in multicultural and international environments. She has previously had the opportunity of working among companies such as The American Arbitration Association, FM Global, Chubb Insurance and the broking firm, Marsh.

Keri prides herself in building long-term and meaningful relationships with her clients and business partners, which is of paramount importance in a world that is constantly changing.

Roan Stoop

Quantitative Analyst, Johannesburg

Roan joined Eikos in 2006 as a quantitative analyst providing analytics support to Eikos’s risk financing and risk management offerings. The simulation models Roan produces provide the projections that assist in finding the best insurance solutions for Eikos’s clients.

Roan started his career as actuarial analyst in the risk management department of South Africa’s largest and most innovative medical health scheme. Thereafter, he worked as actuarial programmer developing and maintaining actuarial software for a retirement benefits consultancy before joining Eikos.

Roan graduated with a degree in actuarial science from the University of Johannesburg and completed postgraduate courses in computer science to complement his passion for problem solving.

Yan Li

Quantitative Analyst, London

Yan joined Eikos as Quantitative Analyst in 2019 after a decade spent in analytical roles primarily in the energy industry. She runs analytical projects for clients and developed Eikos’s proprietary claims dashboard technology. She has a proven track record in utilising data in innovative ways to deliver clear and actionable insights for clients.

Yan has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Master’s degrees in both Economics and Financial Risk Management.

Alexandros Vlachos

Account Executive, London

Alex is an Account Executive at Eikos Risk Capital, developing the Surety business as well as assisting with business development and strategy of the company. His past experience includes an internship at a Lloyd’s broker, business administration for a private research and consultancy business in Greece and acting as a business development advisor for a London fintech startup.

Alex holds a Business Administration and Economics degree from Aarhus University in Denmark and continues his postgraduate studies in Health Management at London’s City University.
